We developed a multi-display virtual smart home experience powered by Unreal Engine’s nDisplay technology and VTouch’s innovative contactless spatial touch technology. The project was showcased at CES 2022, capturing attention by providing seamless, intuitive control over household appliances, entertainment systems, lighting, curtains, and even food ordering—all through touchless spatial interactions.
As global attention shifts towards hygienic, touch-free solutions, our client, VTouch, wanted to highlight the future of interactive smart home environments. Leveraging Unreal Engine's powerful real-time rendering capabilities combined with VTouch’s advanced gesture recognition technology, we aimed to deliver a futuristic yet practical user experience.
By integrating Unreal Engine’s nDisplay solution, we seamlessly synchronized immersive content across six displays, creating an expansive and coherent virtual environment. Users interact effortlessly through VTouch’s contactless gesture control to perform everyday actions: ordering food, adjusting lights, operating curtains, streaming videos, and activating air purifiers. This innovative solution demonstrates a compelling and practical application of advanced technology, redefining the smart home experience.
